چکیده مقاله:

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbonssuch as drugs, dyes and PAHs are highly hydrophobic, nonpolar, cytotoxic, mutagenic, carcinogenic and teratogenic [1]. Exposure to these aromaticcompounds cause a variety of negative health impacts such as various cancers, breaking downhormone systems and depressing immune function. Determination and separation of aromaticsis very important in industrial and medical applications. Ionic liquid (IL) has been used asgreen solvents instead of traditional organic solvents because of its special chemical andphysical properties, such as high polarity and thermal stability, low volatility and wonderfulmiscibility [2]. Recently there are several novel sorbents using ionic liquids have been appliedfor trace enrichment of drug and aromatic residues in many samples. In this study we preparedtritely-n-octyl ammonium hexaflourophosphate (TAH) IL by mixing tritely amine andbromoalkane and refluxing for 48 h. Then, aqueous solution of KPF6 added to resulted powderof previous step. 1H NMR and FT-IR proved that IL was successfully synthesized. Manyauthors mentioned that ILs have a promising future as a sorbent in separation techniques [3].
