چکیده مقاله:
Introduction and aim: Colorectal cancer is a cancer that starts in the colon or the rectum. Its also known as bowel cancer, colon cancer, or rectal cancer depending on where it starts. Colorectal cancer occurs when some of the cells that line the colon or the rectum become abnormal and grow out of control. In most cases, it s not clear what causes colon cancer; but its known that colon cancer occurs when healthy cells in the colon develop errors in their genetic blueprint, the DNA. Therefore for finding more bioinformatic information about this cancer, we used NCBI, miRNASNP, miRBASE, phenomiR, miRWALK2.0, and DAVID. Methods: Studies in NCBI gene cards shows that one of genes that influence this cancer is KRAS on location 12p12.1. This gene, a Kirsten ras oncogene homolog from the mammalian ras gene family, encodes a protein that is a member of the small GTPase superfamily. Thus for recognizing microRNAs that correlates with KRAS we used miRNASNP and miRdSNP. Results: Studies in rs12245 defined that A allele changes to T allele that might influence function of miRNA. Finally hsa-miR-544a found for one of the most microRNAs that correlates with KRAS. We studied the role of this miRNA in colorectal cancer in phenomiR. We found target genes in miRWAIK2.0 and then we evaluated signals pathway in DAVID. Conclusion: The most important target of hsa-miR-544a is KRAS that rs12245 (A changes to U) is located in 3UTR of this gene and can influence hsa-miR-544a.
