چکیده مقاله:

Background and objective: Cancer of the colon and rectum is the third most common cause of cancer death in the world and the second cause of death in developing countries. Treatments for colorectal cancer include surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. . It is often accompanied by a intestinal stoma.Quality of life is a set of mental components that reflect the physical, emotional, and occupational aspects of patients social experiences. Quality of life is an important dimension in patients with osteomy. This group undergoes surgery that can have permanent changes to their quality of life. Most of these patients have colorectal cancer,Therefore, in addition to adapting to cancer, they have to face extensive surgical effects. The aim of this study was to review the quality of life of people with Gastrointestinal ostomy in Iran.Materials and Methods: This review study was conducted on the scientific sites Google scholar, magiran, Sid, PubMed and iranmedex with the keywords of Gastrointestinal ostomy, quality of life, and Iran from 1990 to 2018. Results: Studies have shown that the social dimension of quality of life has been the weakest area in the life of stomatoms.They also have many challenges in terms of quality of life. According to reviewed studies, the quality of life of patients with gastrointestinal osmosis was low.Conclusion:According to the results, using these findings, the challenges and factors associated with the quality of life of the patients with osteomy better recognize. And as a result of care programs, they design and implement a more appropriate education for these patients and their families.
