چکیده مقاله:
Regenerative medicine is described as the process of restoring damaged or lost tissues to reestablish normal function. Regenerative endodontic procedures are biologically based treatments that aim to recreate a functional dentin-pulp complex, capable of maintaining continued developmental process in an immature necrotic tooth. As stem cells, scaffold and signaling molecules are three basic components of every regenerative treatment, dental stem cells may be used as endogenous stem cells that are affordable, easy to collect and hold promise for a potentially successful regeneration of an inflamed necrotic pulp tissue.Regenerative capacity of the dental pulp is well known and has been attributed to the function of dental stem cells. There are some categories of dental stem cells that have been more commonly studied in the field of endodontic regeneration. Characteristics of dental stem cells and different factors affecting their performance and clinical outcome will be discussed in this lecture.
