چکیده مقاله:

Augmentation of craniofacial bony defects has been accomplished with autogenous grafts, natural and synthetic materials, freeze-dried and demineralized xenogeneic and allogeneic bone, and hydroxyapatite crystals. An ideal bone grafting in advanced dentistry should have the following properties: it should be biomimetic; it should have the ability to induce differentiation of the appropriate cells (endothelial and osteoplastic cell) for the formation of new bone. It should be easily synthesized or produced, rather than extracted from allograft materials (to eliminate all risks of disease transmission). Finally, the bone graft has better to be capable of achieving consistent and predictable results without being affected by different levels of technical clinician’s dexterity. It has been shown that by simply adding blood to bone biomaterials, adrastic and marked increase in new vessel ingrowth is observed and tissue tension negatively impacts tissue angiogenesis.Emphasizing bone augmentation, the biomaterial and graft, either autogenous or allogeneic, provide a substratum for cell attachment and differentiation.Augmenting height and width of alveolar bone for dental implant anchoring till providing enough stability to conduct a successful treatment is the goal of current clinical dental procedures.
