چکیده مقاله:

Iraq is considered one of the best locations of solar radiation in the world, renewable energy has run a great chance for supportable growth and redeployment people, it supply thereby providing economical means of producing electricity so has a much lower environmental impact than other energy sources because have clean sources and savings have been advanced fast in latest years. The main aim of this research is to calculate and select the best Spatial Site Collection for solar farms sites that are possibly in the Najaf area of Iraq by technique geospatial information systems (GIS) and multi-criteria decision making (MCDM), so the typical considers different factors, such as technical and economic, environmental, to provide full power success while decreasing project price, by method analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is applied to weigh the criteria and calculate a land suitability index (LSI) it has been developed, many economic parameters like nearness to the power line stations and road and cities, environmental parameters presence clarification land cover barren land and technical factors like solar radiation and slope. The rationale for selecting these parameters was the literature reviewed for similar endeavors, the results of the study showed that most of all regions are suitable for harvesting solar energy with a land suitability index (LSI) but the best area of solar radiation is near to Najaf airport (NJF).
