چکیده مقاله:

Mass casualty incident (MCI) with a large number of burned victims simply referred as mass burn casualties. In this event that overwhelms the available medical resources such as qualified professional expert to do the best triage and patient care. Mass burn casualty disaster as any catastrophic event in which the number of burn victims exceeds the capacity of the local burn center to provide optimal burn care. defined by the American burn association (ABA). In disasters, the basic rules and standards of triage should be followed to save as many lives as possible at pre-hospital. Mass casualty triage helps first responders to sort out victims during mass casualty incidents. Triage is the process of sorting out individual patients into cat egories according to priority of treatment. The method used quickly classifies victims during MCI based on severity of injuries, triage simplicity and rapid treatment (START). Responders arriving to the scene of a mass burn casualty incident may first ask that any victim who is able to walk relocate to a certain area, thereby identifying the ambulatory, or walking wounded, patients. Non-ambulatory patients are then assessed. The only medical intervention used prior to declaring a patient deceased is an attempt to open the airway. Any patient who is not breathing after this attempt is classified as deceased and given a black tag. Patients that breathe and have any of the following conditions are classified as immediate.Mass casualty incident (MCI) with a large number of burned victims simply referred as mass burn casualties.
