Treatment of periorbital and midface burn deformities

Burn related injuries constitute one of the main public health problems in Iran. It is continuously curious that so much. Actually almost all of the management efforts about burn injuries is devoted to the first two weeks of care and almost nine to the last two weeks. Survivors of the burn units are left in the society disfigured and crippled both physically and psychologicallty. More than 50 perecent of patients admitted to a burn center will have facial burns. Treatment of burns of the face is quite complex: each subunit will examine separately: the nose, cheeks, ears, eyelids and eyebrows. These stractures deserve special consideration.In this brief presentation, the lecture shares his long term experience in dealing with facial burn deformities with emphasis in midface and periorbital regions.
