چکیده مقاله:

The most vital component in designing and implementing a telemetric system for monitoring the quality and quantity of water, is incorporating a central processing system for receiving the data from the different and various meteorological sensors, hydrometric and synoptic stations, control systems of water & waste water treatment plants, pumping stations, water & sewage pipelines; that finally analyzes and processes the relevant data and delivers them. The localized RTU system has a design that could be connected to different types of sensors and receive various analog and digital inputs and outputs in order to analyze and process quality and quantity related data. It is also able to be connected via different types of connections such as ordinary telephone lines (PTSN modem), radio modem, RF, microwave and satellite for transferring data between different stations and the base. By producing the data monitoring and control software having the stated characteristics in the localized technology, the country has practically been completely relieved of the severe challenges confronted because of the software dependency, as the achievement presented in this field in the Tehran metropolitan water supply and Karkhe River Flood Warning Project. In urban water supply and management remote sensing and IT technology can be used in the supplying water with acceptable quality and quantity. Monitoring of water mains and other urban water infrastructure will help the decision makers for increasing the system performance in urban water supply and on time alarm for emergency actions during urban water crisis.
