RUP Business Modeling-based Process Model for Extracting Personas

Lack of user understanding can bring a damaging effect to software development projects. Using Personas to capture and analyze users can facilitate user’s understanding. However, identifying Personas from large user information is difficult. Using systematic way to manage and analyze those mass information can improve the process of Personas identification. This research applies RUP Business Modeling to help developers in identifying Personas from system environment and to get ahead personas definition. The creation and utilization of Personas have been investigated via proposed process model aimed to identify and represent users' personas in a manageable format. A “Process Model for Identifying Personas using Business Modeling (PMP-BM)” facilitates software developers to anticipate user personas identification. The resulting Personas which are suggested by the proposed process model have simulated by developing and using a specific software support tool
