High-order passive switched capacitor filter enabling implementation of complex conjugate poles

A high-order passive switched capacitor filter isproposed which can implement complex conjugate poles in itstransfer function. A previously proposed structure, called timesharingcharge-traveling architecture is modified intuitively byemploying a differential structure and additional clock phases. Aprototype fourth order filter is designed in sampling rate of400MHz and simulated using verified discrete-time models inSimulink. Simulation results show that the proposed structureachieves higher out of band rejection compared to the traditionalcharge-traveling architecture, while capacitor values are furtherpractical for implementation.
