چکیده مقاله:

Background: Surgery as a diagnostic and therapeutic process is an act that causes anxiety in patients, and the more serious the surgery, the greater the anxiety. This study compares two methods of training the process of treatment (face to face and screening) in decreasing anxiety of patients before open heart surgery in women admitted to Ayatollah Kashani hospital and Hajar Shahr-e-kord Methods: In this semi-experimental study, 50 patients with open heart surgery candidate candidates were selected by simple sampling method and randomly divided into two groups of face to face verbal training and video training. Before the training, Spielberger questionnaire wasprovided to both groups. Then both groups were trained in the surgical treatment process. After that, the questionnaire was completed again by the patients one day before the operation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistics using SPSS version 21 software. Result:In this study, there were 27 (51.9%) face-to-face education group and 23 (48.1%) in the study group through the film among the study groups . Both groups did not differ significantly in terms of age, education, and type of practice. The results of this study showed that the mean of anxiety score in the education group was 47.79 ± 13.35 mm more than face-to-face teaching group (41.64 ± 18.9) (P = 0.012). The hidden anxiety in the two groups was not statistically significant (P = 0.61). The results of the study showed that face-to-face education before the open heart surgery patientsdescribed how problems and care they may face and with simple explanation can prevent their anxiety and thus have a chance of recovery as soon as possible , Reducing hospital costs, hospital stay, and complications after open heart surgery in patients.
