The Effectiveness of Group Logo therapy in the General health and functional scale Quality of Life of Women with Breast Cancer

Introduction& Aim: According to statistical reports, breast cancer is the most common cancer and the second leading cause of death in Iranian women Significant consequences of breast cancer, such as physical problems (pain and fatigue), psychological problems (anxiety and depression), and other psychosocial problems, lead to poor quality of life. People are prone to psychological problems The most important aspect of care for these patients is the attention, evaluation and improvement of their quality of life Purpose to the effectiveness of group-based logo therapy Quality of life is defined as the cognitive judgment of the individual s satisfaction of life on the quality of life of women with breast cancer in order to help improve the quality of life of these patients Method: This study was a semi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test. The statistical population of this study was breast cancer women who referred to breast cancer research center, of the age range of 23-65 years old Participants in the study included 30 individuals who were randomly divided in two groups (15 control group and 15 subjects in one experimental groups). The experimental group under the treatment of, intervention strategies, and group-oriented approaches were subjected to existential treatments, and no intervention was performed in the control group. To measure the variables of the research, The quality of life questionnaire for cancer patients and the quality of life questionnaire for breast cancer patients (QLQ-C30, QLQ-Br23) was used to analyze the obtained data using the covariance method Results &Conclusion: Findings showed that There is a significant difference between the control group and the group in terms of overall health in the promotion of general health scale, general and specific performance scales (other than body image, sexual function and sexual pleasure) and the quality of life indicators in women with breast cancer.( P<0/05)
