چکیده مقاله:

Background: In this systematic review and meta-analysis study, we try to determine the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and mortality after pre-eclampsia.Methods: We did a search on articles were published between 2010 and 2016 in Google Scholar, PubMed and Medline with no language restrictions. We included retrospective and prospective cohort studies with 157824 affected women by pre-eclampsia (exposure group) and 13678 patients with cancer and cardiovascular disease (study outcomes). Results: Women have a high risk of cardiovascular disease after pre-eclampsia. The risk of hypertension was 2.89 after about 10 years (with the 95% confidence intervals), the risk of stroke was 3.12 after about 10 years and the risk of thrombosis was 1.24 after about 11 years. According to the investigations, there was no increase in the risk of any cancers. There was an increase in the overall mortality after pre-eclampsia after about 12 years. Conclusions: Due to the effect of pre-eclampsia on the development of cardiovascular disease, it is necessary to pay attention to its history in women. This relationship may reflect a common reason for pre-eclampsia and cardiovascular disease. There was no relation between pre-eclampsia and incidence with cancers in the future.
