Technology ranking for biomass to energy conversion with TOPSIS technique (a case study)

Global energy demand is sharply increasing and industries are dependent to fossil fuels, as well. However, non-renewable energy sources are distinctly declining. In addition, environmental issues caused by fossil fuels combustion adversely affect health of people. Thus, renewable energy is a promising and paramount solution to overcome that issue. One of the renewable resources is industrial biomass produced in manufacturing factories. The aim of this study is ranking 3 technologies in order to biomass to energy conversion in Firouzeh Tile Company of Mashhad. To rank technologies using TOPSIS technique, MATLAB software is used.
