Children disaster resilience; Domains and Indicators: A systematic Review

Background & Aim: Although Children are vulnerable in disasters, recently their ability is taken into account. The Sendai Framework (2015-2030) has mentioned the role of children in disaster risk reduction. The objective of this study was to investigate the evidence of children resilience indicators in natural disasters which identify their capacity and improve their ability against the disaster consequences.Methods: This study was employed a systematic review of the children resilience in natural disaster situation both before and after events by anymethods that extracted indicators/factors to improve children resilience in adverse conditions such a natural disaster. Four main electronic databases were searched including PubMed, Scopus, Web OF Science, and PYCINFO. Furthermore, experts have been asked to identify verifiable grey documents. The search terms and strategy were as follow: [(Resilien* and (Child* or youth or adolescen* or young or teen*) and disaste.Title, abstract, heading word, table of contents, key concepts, original title, tests & measures]. Included articles were then analyzed; and the main domains of children resilience were clarified. This systematic literature review was evaluated only English articles. Finding: 1838 documents were evaluated and 65 total articles were analyzed. The resilient criteria for children excluded to determine tangible variable for decision makers as an intervention factors to make them more resilient. It mentioned the domains and indicates as well. Conclusion: Children resilience leads to community resilience so, the resilience criteria should be considered in disaster risk reduction plan. It seems that all organizations particularly Ministry of Education should be involved to facilitate the children resilience in forthcoming years
