Taxonomic study of genus Microtus Schrank,1798 (Rodentia: Cricetidae) species in Zanjan province

In this study sixty seven samples of vols (Microtus) have been collected from various geographical regions in Zanjan province. All the samples have been studied in detail for Morphological (Color of body skin) Morphomotrical (Length of body, Tail, Hind foot, Ear and Body weight), Biometrical (16 adjective skull measurements) and karyological (2n, NF and NFa) characteristics. The gained results were compared with.Morphological, Morphometrecal, Biometrical and karyological characteristics topotype semples also with published papers in this field and distribution of M.socialis, M.irani and M.arvalis species in this province has been confirmed.
