Efficient synthesis of 6-bromo-2,4-dichloro-9H-pyrido[2,3-b]indole from 3-chloroacryloyl chloride and 5-bromoindolin-2-one

In this work, a practical method for synthesis of 6-bromo-2,4-dichloro-9H-pyrido[2,3-b]indole from 3-chloroacryloyl chloride and 5-bromoindolin-2-one is introduced. For synthesis of this compound a reaction between 3-chloroacryloyl chloride and 5-bromoindolin-2-one in the presence of potassium tert-butoxide was designed to obtain desirable yields.
