چکیده مقاله:

One of the most important factors in stability, durability and performance of bridge structure is strength of each element against corrosive phenomenon of environment. Bridge piers that are in direct and permanent contact with the lake water, in case of having any crack will be more subjected to destruction and corrosion of concrete. Hence, using concrete with special mix design that should have low penetration in order to minimize the corrosion factors of concrete and rebar and coincidentally high compressive strength, is very essential. Despite of all above items, having cracks in concrete is inevitable and concrete repair in different segments of bridge are an essential task. Because of special condition and environmental factors, Oromieh Lake Causeway Bridge is always in risk of intense corrosion. Main structure consists of substructure and superstructure. Substructure part is divided to caissons and columns that caissons are now in direct contact of lake water. Superstructure part is consisting of steel box girder modules and deck slab that is subjected to chloride ions. So protection and repair of concrete are subjects that are overemphasis here. Depending on kind of crack, its cause and depth, there is different methods and instructions for repairing concrete of different segments in substructure and superstructure of Oromieh Bridge. The purpose of this paper, is presenting modern procedures of concrete repair with cement-based and epoxy-based material and also investigating the effects of environmental factors on repaired parts of caisson and deck concrete, efficiency of used materials and presented manners after passing years from their repair time are investigated by consultant engineers
