MEMS magnetometers are widely used for heading determination, indoor positioning and IoT applications, but they are prone to different kinds of errors. Scale and bias errors are the two ones that vary with presence of ferromagnetic materials and external magnetic fields near the sensor. In this paper performance analysis of DE, GA and PSO based calibration of triaxial AMR magnetometer is evaluated. The experiment is tested on real distorted raw measurements of low-cost magnetometer. The results show that the three algorithms can be used for calibration, however PSO is faster and will result in the least error. comparison of the obtained results with other works in the literature show that the proposed methods are easier to model and implement and result in less error.
