چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: malignant cancers like leukemia and lymphoma are on the rise in the world fordifferent reasons. in respect with the high endemic rate of this disease in Iran and the need forrecognition of the Causes of this disease, the present survey deals with breastfeeding as protectiveagent and blood type against leukemia and lymphomas.Materials Methods: This Case-control study was carried out from Jun 2017 until March 2017 inAliasghar hospital of Shiraz on 118 persons suffering Leukemia and 40 people sufferinglymphomas. The two Central group including one control group made up of 120 healthy peopleunder the age of 15 in the different hospital and blood Control group attending Shiraz bloodtransfusion organization and the study was done on 1032 of them by random blood Sampling.Results: Based on the results of this study the major risk factor regarding leukemia andlymphomas is :Lack of breast feeding for at least months. for the risky children the risk factorsconcerning lymphoma are:parents literacy, increased father age, increased number of familymember, relative malignant record. Based on the results the relation between blood type and thecancer leukemia and lymphoma is not significant. Also the results show that, in general,breastfeeding for more than months is protective factor against Leukemia but is not protectivefactor against Lymphoma.Conclusion: Based on the findings, we suggest that necessary education is given to parents and theremove the factors causing diseases screening and correct pre-advice if needed be provided forthem
