Suppressing Sensitive Equipment Pitch and Vertical Movements in Van Using the MPC Controller

چکیده مقاله:

The movement of vehicles over road bumps induces vibration in the vehicles and disturbs the passengers. It ismore important to reduce these vibrations in vans that transport sensitive equipment such as imaging system becausethese vibrations can hurt the imaging system and imaging process. In this research, the ½ van modeling of thesuspension systems augmented with the ½ imaging system modelling was carried out by taking the pitch and verticalmovements into account. Afterwards, an active suspension system was proposed for imaging system to reduce thevibrations. In this system, a predictive controller is used due to more advantage into the design of these controllers. Themajor advantage of this method is the possibility of suppressing the pitch and vertical movements in the imaging system.Finally, the designed controller was simulated using the ½ model of van and imaging system and better results than thepassive suspension and the active suspension with the PID controller were obtained.
