چکیده مقاله:

Breast cancer is one of the most common malignancies in women. Approximately 35% of patients undergo mastectomy, and 65% of patients choose breast conservation therapy. Treating the left side resulted in an increased risk of cardiovascular related mortality. The movement of the target volume is an important factor affecting the dose–volume parameters. The use of deep inspiration breath-hold during tangential breast radiation therapy has also proved to be a high quality means of reducing the cardiac volume that receives the radiation dose.Material and methods: We used a computer-aided search to identify articles that contained the Results: the doses between DIBH and FB are different Discussion: Because respiratory motion can result in movement and deformation of the target volume during radiotherapy for breast cancer, a change in the dose distribution in the target volume coverage limits the wide application of radiotherapy for breast cancer .Conclusion: for most patients with left-sided breast cancer, radiotherapy with DIBH is excellent treatment option and is institutionals standard of care.
