چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is becoming the most common cause of liver disease worldwide. There is growing evidence that indices of diet quality could have an association with a decreased risk of NAFLD in several countries. We aimed to examine the association between diet quality, as measured by the Alternative Healthy Eating Index (AHEI), and Different degrees of NAFLDMethods: cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 120 patient with NAFLD aged ≥ 20 years selected by random sampling. AHEI was calculated according to a food frequency questionnaire. The degree of disease was determined by ultrasound by a radiologist Results: AHEI had a significant relationship with degree of fatty liver disease (r = - 0.02, P=0.04) and with AHEI increase, the degree of disease declined. Conclusion: The present study showed significant relationship between AHEI and the reduced risk of NAFLD
