THE STUDY OF RELATION OF CONSUMING VEGETABLES WHIT HYPERTENSION PREVALENCE IN MIDDLE-AGED PEOPLE WHICH ATTEND MASHHAD UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCE (MUMS) HEALTH CENTERS (2017-2018)

Background and Aim: In middle age nutrition has an effective role on non-contagious diseases such as high hypertension. High hypertension is one of the most important reasons for disability and death among middle age people and inappropriate nutrition is going to cause High hypertension in this period of life. The objective of this study is to determine a connection between high hypertension and consuming vegetables among middle age people (30-59) which attended health centers in 2017.Methods: this research was a descriptive-analytical study of sectional kind which was carried out on 37100 middle age men and 72554 middle age women that attended (MUMS) health centers during 9 month. The tool of data collection was a standard questionnaire based on middle age-caring forms. Data has been imported through SPSS application edition 22 and has been analyzed by Chi-square test and was meaningful for p<0.05. Results: This study showed that 14% of middle age men are suffering from High hypertension. (BP> 140/90). There was not a meaningful connection between High hypertension and consuming VEGETABLES (p=0.27), and 14% of middle age women are suffering from High hypertension (BP> 140/90). There was a meaningful connection between High hypertension and consuming VEGETABLES (p<0. 0001).Conclusion: According to the gained results consuming VEGETABLES is effective on High hypertension among middle age women and therefore proper interventions are needed in order to increase VEGETABLES consuming among middle age women.
