چکیده مقاله:
Silver and silver salts is as old as human civilization but the production of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) has only recently been recognized. The AgNPs can be synthesized using various methods, such as chemical, physical, and biological. The biological synthesis of nanoparticles is a rapid technology and were found to be more pharmacologically active than physicochemically synthesized nanoparticles. The present study is focused on the biological synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) by a gram-negative bacterial strain. The bacterial strains were isolated from soil samples and screened for its potential to form silver nanoparticles. Microbes are used as a source, can take place either extracellular or intracellular. It was found to have the ability to synthesize silver nanoparticles extracellular. For the extracellular production the supernatant of bacterial strain was added to the reaction solution containing 1mM of silver nitrate. After the color change, reaction solution was analyzed at 300-800 nm range using UV–Vis spectrophotometer. This was confirmed by formation of brown colour and the visial observation and UV–Vis absorption at 430 nm
