چکیده مقاله:

Background: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a widely diffused found in soil, minerals, plants and water. Bacterial infections and antibiotic resistance the factors that cause them are one of the most important challenges facing health systems. The aim of this study was to evaluate multidrug resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains. Methods: In this study, 28 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated from burns. The resistance of these bacteria to the antibiotics of Piperacillin+ Tazobactam, Imipenem, Meropenem, Ceftazidime, Ceftriaxone, Cefotaxime, Cefepime and Ciprofloxacin was evaluated using Kirby-Baer method. Results: Based on an antibiogram, 28 isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosaisolated from burn patients, highest drug resistance was observed for Ceftriaxone and Cefotaxime (100%), Imipenem (95%), Meropenem and Ciprofloxacin (93.75%), Cefepime (89.60%), Piperacillin+ Tazobactam (81.25%) Multidrug-resistant isolates, also a very broad resistance to several drugs show that antibiotic ceftazidime has the lowest resistance (54.14%) than other antibiotics. Conclusion: The level of resistance to multi-drug in the isolates was high. The need for antibiogram before prescribes of antibiotics and the correct use of antibiotics should be considered.
