چکیده مقاله:

Background: Acinetobacter baumannii is an important agent to healthcare affiliated infections, which is difficult due to the vast resistance of antimicrobials controlled by Acinetobacter baumannii. In this study, the prevalence of GES-2 gene and antibiotic resistance of clinical specimens in isolated strains from burn wound infection in patients hospitalized in the ward of Erfan hospital in Tehran was performed. Methods: In this study, 23 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii were isolated from patients in the burn ward of Erfan Hospital and identified by biochemical tests. Antibiotic resistance pattern was determined by disk diffusion method. The genotype of GES-2 gene was evaluated by PCR method and analyzed by SPSS23 software. Results: The isolates resistance to antibiotics was respectively the highest levels of Ceftriaxone and Cefotaxime (98%), Ceftazidime (96%), Meropenem, Imipenemand Cefepime (94%), in genotypic study, 14 strains (60.84%) of GES-2 gene were identified. Conclusion: These results indicate that important clinical antibiotics are used in the treatment of isolated Acinetobacter baumannii produced by GES-2 gene, have been resistant. These results suggest better studies on the rational use of the drug in the treatment of Acinetobacter baumannii.
