چکیده مقاله:
Introduction:Spread of antibiotic resistancein the hospitals settings is a global threat to treatment of infection. In recent years, the rate of multi drug resistant bacteria has been increasing around the world. The aim of this study was to determine the antibiotic resistance profile of Gram-negative and positive bacteria isolated from Emergency Room of Afzalipour hospital, Kerman, Iran, 2017.Material and Methods: During one year, 294 clinical isolates of Gram-negative and positive bacteria were collected from different clinical samples from Emergency Room of Afzalipour Hospital andantibiotic susceptibility profile of bacteria was determined by disk diffusion method. Results: E. coli was the common Gram-negative bacteria that isolated from patients in emergency room. Gentamicin was the most effective antibiotic against this bacterium and the highest rate of resistance was observed to Cefixime in E. coli isolates.Streptococcussppwas the common Gram-positive bacteria that isolated from patients there.Vancomycin was the most effective antibiotic against gram-positive bacteria and the highest rate of resistance were observed to Cefazolinin these isolates. Conclusion: Monitoring on the antibiotic resistance profile of bacteria is very important for control and treatment of infections.
