Background and Objective: Today, quality of life measurement is important in health care systems especially for patients with chronic diseases. Heart failure has several complications that affect patients’ lives. One of the factors affecting the quality of life is spiritual health. Spiritual health as one of the main aspects of health is usually ignored. The current study aimed to determine the relationship between spiritual health and the quality of life in patients with Heart failure diseases. Materials and Methods: The current study was a sectional correlation type survey and 400 patients with Heart failure disease were selected by available sampling method as the study population. Data was gathered by Ellison & Palutzian spiritual health, and Nottingham Health Profile quality of life questionnaires. SPSS software version 21 was employed to analyze the data by Pierson correlation index and independent T test at 0.05 level of significance, P < 0.05 Findings: The results of the current study indicated that the average level of spiritual health in these patients was 79.55 ± 2.93. Also, the average of quality of life in patients with Heart failure disease was at medium level 62.43 ± 19.32; and the quality of life in men patients was significantly higher than that of women with the same disease (P = 0.001). Besides, the results indicated a significant correlation between spiritual health and quality of life in the patients with Heart failure disease (P = 0.001). Conclusion: A strong correlation between spirituality and quality of life in patients with heart failure, demonstrates the roles and responsibilities of healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses and patients families in meeting the varied spiritual and religious needs of patients along with their therapeutic management. Focusing on improving spiritual health is also important in education programs for these patients.
