A Review of Guidelines for Pain Research in Humans and animals

As any kind of progress in the world of science, especially in medicine, depends strongly on trial and error and with regard to the invention of more recent methods and new medicines that necessitate clinical trials before their widespread use, reminding some valid guidelines and remaining committed to them in order to measure these methods harmlessness as well as their usefulness are of prime importance. With a view to these issues, we will review the human and animal guidelines suggested by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) and then the ethical codes of medical universities of Tehran and Iran will be studied and scrutinized.
