چکیده مقاله:

During the late decades of second millennium, an explosive growth happened in certain areas of science. Modern life science including stem cell research assisted reproductive technology, human cloning, genetics, biotechnology, neuroscience and related science domains such as nanotechnology, computational technology, robotics, and artificial intelligence are the most important research fields among other branches of science. Valuable massive findings in the mentioned area led to the necessity of controlling and monitoring the application and impact of the results of these fields on societal, economic, moral, legal, judicial and ethical issues. In response to this necessity, a new field of philosophical and moral enquiry began to grow in the late 1960s. Bioethics, soon in its name, was a new field for scientists who quickly expanded their forums, magazines, professionals, conferences, curricula and experts. Among the pioneers of this field, neuroscience is notable for the nature of its findings that directly or indirectly affects the community. Neuroethics as an important branch of bioethics developed rapidly among different societies during recent years. Although neuroethics has same and common meaning and application in different countries, it seems that varieties in culture and religion could have strong impact on neuroethics considerations. In fact, the constant advances in neuroscience and consequently in neuroethics, lead to critical questions for Islam based societies. From this point of view the present paper focuses on the importance role of traditional culture and Islamic rules in neuroethics in Iran
