چکیده مقاله:

Backgrounds and Objects:Hyperlipidemia is one of the most important risk factors for Athrosclerosis. The moreimportant lipoproteins of serum are: HDL, LDL, VLDL, The latest has highest cholesterolcauses to increase Athrosclerosis. Nowadays many of clinical laboratories measure the levelof TG, total cholesterol and HDL directly, than using from friedwald formula for evaluating(The LDL level on condition of TG < 400 mg/dl) the other method is measuring it directly forthe sake of increasing the direct method expenses, we decided to compare the Direct- LDLlevel with calculated level with formula.Materials and Methods:5 ml venous blood was blood from 400 persons referring to Kashan Beheshti hospitallaboratory during a 6 months period. Lipid profiles measuring (TG. Cholesterol, HDL, LDL)was done, LDL was measured with friedwald formula.Findings and Result:The arrange of persons was 38/2± 6/8 years old. The mean of LDL – Direct was 79/5±27 andcalculated LDL 104±38 with using the T- Test significant differences was distributedbetween the two methods. With the Pearson correlation test the two methods have highcorrelation P.V < %1 as 90 percent. Conclusion:However calculated LDL is almost 20% higher than direct LDL. But due to up correlationcoefficient we can have some changes in friedwald formula to close it to Direct- LDLOffer formula= Total Cholesterol – (HDL + TG /5) ×0/8
