Evaluation of frequency of JAk2 (V617F) mutation in diffuse large B cell lymphoma with ARMS-PCR method

Background and Aim: JAK2 mutation has been shown to play a significant role in thepathogenesis of myeloproliferative disorders. In other hand, molecular mechanisms leading todiffuse large B-cell lymphoma hasn’t been known well. The aim of this study is to Evaluatefrequency of JAk2 (V617F) mutation in diffuse large B cell lymphoma with ARMS-PCRmethod.Material and method: JAk2 (V617F) mutation was surveyed in 90 DNA samples of diffuselarge B-cell lymphoma patients using ARMS-PCR method. Results: JAK2 (V617F) mutationwasn’t found in any age and sex groups of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma patients studied.conclusion: It doesn’t seem that JAK2 mutation plays a role in molecular pathogenesis ofdiffuse large B-cell lymphoma. But, further studies are recommended for investigation ofJAK2 mutation in other lymphomas.
