چکیده مقاله:

Considering that 40 of the natural disasters are known, 31 of them are occurring in Iran. According to Disaster Management principal, a natural hazard should be prevented becoming into a natural disaster with such approaches like comprehensive disaster management; or, with the optimal preparation for reducing the damage and returned quickly to the normal situation. At the time of disaster one of the very important factors is to ensure nutrition of the survivors. Although nutritional needs are provided in terms of energy and protein, the effected people from inadequate access to fresh foods, especially vegetables and fruits (for a period of about one month or more), reduce the intake of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins C, A, B1, B2, folic acid and iron. In these situations, you should either use enrichment foods in vitamins and minerals, or pharmaceutical supplements. In emergency situations, the assessment of food supplies, proper rationing, systematic distribution, and the prioritization of high risk and vulnerable groups, especially children, is in particular very importance. Since mortality in disaster due to infection and metabolic disorders, consideration of clinical signs is essential for the initiation of nutrition therapy, and attention is paid to providing the minimum energy of 2100 kcal, proteins and vitamins and minerals to reduce malnutrition and complications is very important and imperative. Having enough fluids and receiving different types of food by vulnerable groups can have a significant role in their physical and mental health. Based on this study, it is recommended that a long-term diet plan be developed, along with the design of related processes until the emergency is fully remedied, to prevent malnutrition by the disaster management team. Since even people in disaster are not accepting non-native foods, it s very important to pay attention to the nutritional needs of the region and the resources available. Therefore, it is recommended that a nutritionally-administered organization for all provinces of the country develop a predetermined diet to meet the nutritional needs available in long term disaster, taking into account the climate and tastes of the native inhabitants of that province.
