Comparison between obtained Lennard-Jones and Kihara parameters of methane and nitrogen using P-V-T data

Determination of macroscopic properties of simple and non-polar gases using kinetic theory of gases from their microscopic properties is the subject of many different researches. However, there is no enough attention, to estimate the microscopic properties of gases from their macroscopic properties. In the present research Lennard-Jones and kihara parameters of nitrogen, and methane were evaluated from their P-V-T (macroscopic properties) data and were compared. The important applications of these parameters are determination of Critical constants (Tc, Vc and Pc) and some transport properties of simple gases. Evaluated transport properties were in good agreement with experimental data.
