Design and simulate microstrip low-pass filter with wide stopband and high suppression level and high figure of merit

In this paper, a new compact microstrip low pass filter with T and U shaped resonator has been designed. In the transition band, sharpness is very convenient and return loss isvery suitable. In the proposed structure, the stopband extends from 3.3 GHz to 24 GHz with the level of suppression 22dB. Due to the low cutoff frequency and the appropriate sharpness in the transition bands and small dimensions the figure of merit is very good
