چکیده مقاله:

Humor is part of human phenomenon such as speaking and thinking. Scientists are of the opinion that human laughter emerged when primates tried to produce play signals. This opinion looks plausible when it can be seen that children laugh during the same activities in which chimps show laugh-like vocalization. This study aimed at finding out the learners opinion toward using humor in EFL classroom. 85 Iranian Female EFL learners participated in this study. The findings of the study showed that using humor for teaching vocabulary to Iranian EFL learners increase the learners’ interest in learning, and improve learners’ ability in learning.
