چکیده مقاله:

There are many knowledge about normal and pathologic mechanism of eye movements. The role of eye movementsis fix and clear vision via placement of an object (interest) on the fovea. Type of eye movements (gaze) includes:Smooth pursuit, Vestibulo-ocular reflexes, Optokinetik Nystagmus, Vergence and Saccades. Supranuclear eyemovement abnormaities may result from dysfunction of cerebral, cerebellar and brainstem connections to ocularmotor nuclei. This review aims to discuss about anatomy and pathophysiology of gaze control and neurogeneticdisorders associated with SGP. Cases of Niemann-Pick type C, Lysosomal storage Disorders, ProgressiveSupranuclear Palsy, Spinocerebellar Ataxia, Familial Parkinsonism will be presented.
