چکیده مقاله:

Introduction & Aim: Different temperamental complications such as desperation, death threat, recurrence of disease, anxiety about the future, suffering from pain, personal, family and social problems arising from bad performance and low age of breast cancer in Iran, unlike western countries, has made it necessary to pay attention to this important disease. Using spiritual intervention has an important role in reducing mental complications and promoting the patients’ health. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test, and control group. The statistical population included women with breast cancer referred to the Cancer Research Center in2015, people were selected by available method and were divided into two groups randomly. The experimental group was exposed to spiritual intervention that was standardized by Vaziri et al. The intervention was performed in a 10 sessions, once a week, for 90 minutes. For measuring research variables, 72 items of God’s perception and 32 items of attitude toward death (DAPR) questionnaires were used. Results: The results of the research showed that using spiritual intervention (P < 0.05) in-group was effective significantly in improving perception of God and reducing the fear and avoidance of death in the women s group with breast cancer. Conclusion: Spiritual intervention with considering the religious-cultural beliefs of patients, aims to sublimation and leadership toward God, and modifies and revives the cognitive belief system from spiritual aspects. Re-showing the God s mercy changes the incorrect perception to the God that was punitive and grueling before. Reminding this attachment, sense between the creator and creature creates a good relationship between patient and God. The death anxiety will reduce with the help of focusing on the kindness and forgiveness and attempts to the good acts in this universe and the reality of the human survival in another universe, which is a movement from the potential perfection to the active perfection. The awareness of the patients from the responsibility aspect of the survival and finding meaning in their lives will reduce the suffering caused by the loss of life. In fact, patients will find that the spiritual person is different from the non-spiritual only from this aspect that, the spiritual person can experience the self-existence for the mission and not a duty, on the other hand, he is aware of the existence who has delivered the duty to him/her, which means from the root of the mission. In addition, he creates the mission on his/her life and moves toward it
