چکیده مقاله:

Introduction & Aim: A drug-delivery system consists of a formulation or a device that enables introduction of a therapeutic agent in the body and enhances its efficacy and safety by controlling the rate, time, and site of release within the body. This system is aimed at delivering and retaining a sufficient amount of drug for an adequate period of time, and it is also expected to avoid degradation of non-released drugs within the body.Methods: Among all the developed methods for drug loading into nanofibers, blending of the therapeutic agent with polymeric solutions remains the most predominant. For this purpose, the drug is dissolved or dispersed in the polymer solution to achieve encapsulated drug through a one-phase electrospinning method. Results: Electrospinning of emulsions is a complex process influenced mainly by the properties of emulsions, including emulsion stability, viscosity and conductivity. The properties of the emulsions can be modulated by varying the stabilizer, polymeric material used and the added drugs.Conclusion: Using the technique of multilayer nanofiber production, the researchers coated drug-loaded nanofibers, taking advantage of the interaction between positively charged nanofibers and negatively charged nanofibers. Using this technique, the burst release of drug was considerably reduced during the first days.
