چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: Hypethemia is delivery of heat to the tumor mass. despite of large clinical trial study and efforts in cancer treatment, cancer is one of the most common diseases while in clinic be treat still through the conventional therapies. Hyperthermia as an alternative treatment in combination with other modalities such as Radiation therapy and / or chemotherapy had been used since 1935,in that year hyperthermia plus radiotherapy study on 32 patients with advanced cancer experienced , was carrier out by warren et al, although the result was successful, (29 patient improved immediately and increase survival of 6 months. unfortunately this interesting method was forgotten, until 1967,when the study carrier out by Cavaliere in Rome ,the patients was successfully treat by heating and RT.This research which include the patients with metastatic melanoma and sarcoma was the first study , demonstrated effectiveness of hyperthermia related to cancer therapy in combination with other modalities Method and materials:Overview of hyperthermia methods: Actually hyperthermia method is based on the device and type of heating,which includ 2 main type ; the one type is active that administrated by drugs or fever and the othe type is passive and classify in 3 type,1-whole body hyperthermia include mild(-39 °C), moderate(39-40,5 °C), Extreme(41-42,8 °C), thermotherapy(~ 45°C, 15 min.), 2- local hyperthermia,3-Regional hyperthermia
