Objective: Cancer as a life-threatening disease can greatly affect a patient and infects him to many disorders. Psychological treatments can reduce negative psychological effects on these patients. This study aimed to investigate the effects of emotion regulation training on resilience of women with cancer. Method: This is a quasi-experimental study in which 40 women who suffered from breast cancer and refered to Afzali Pour hospital were chosen through available sampling. Then, they were randomly dividedinto two groups of 20 patients (experimental and control groups). After pre-test, the experimental group received eight sessions of emotion regulation training. Next, Conner & Davidson Resilience questionnaire was used as a post-test in both groups. Data analysis was done by using SPSS and covariance. Results: The results showed that emotion regulation training sessions significantly increase the resilience of women with cancer (p <0.01). Conclusion: These findings of this study suggest the implementation of emotion regulation training by psychologists and officials
