Introduction & Aim: The number of breast cancer in Iran has increased in recent years; therefore, the effective approaches related to breast cancer prevention have become important for women’s well-being. Thus, the purposes of this study were to develop and evaluate educational model for promoting breast cancer preventive behaviours in women. Methods: A multi-phase method was used to develop the model. The conceptual model was generated based on secondary analysis of previous qualitative data. Then, the structural equation model (SEM) technique was used to test hypothesized relationships between the model constructs. Results: Seven constructs were extracted from the secondary analysis of previous qualitative data, namely: attitude; stimulation; self-efficacy; information seeking; stress management; perceived social support; andself-care. These were considered into a conceptual model. Then a hypothesized SEM model fit well with the current data and confirms significant relationships all constructs of model on breast cancer prevention. in women, which provide evidence for the need to improve women’ behaviours in future studies. More research is required to understand the complexity of the relationship between model constructs and breast cancer prevention.
