Knowledge and preventive behaviors of breast cancer based on the Health Belief Model in Health Volunteers Khoramabad

Introduction & Aim: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. In Iran has seen an alarming rise in the incidence of cancer, cancer screening tests such as mammography and breast self-examination plays an important role in reducing mortality and increasing life expectancy plays This requires action to raise awareness and belief that to do so is behavior based on health education models such as Health Belief Model. In this context, this study aimed to determine the breast cancer preventive behaviors based on health belief model in teacher education was Khorramabad. Methods: This cross-sectional analysis of 100 health volunteers were randomly selected. For data collection, a questionnaire about breast cancer and preventive behaviors based on health belief model structures. Data was completed in a self-report stage in the centers. The data were analyzed using Spss software Results: The findings showed a relatively good knowledge about cancer samples, but about the conduct breast self examination and mammography was low. The mean score of perceived barriers structures was of other structures More12/2 (23/0).Discussion: The role of helping volunteers in health care, design and application of health belief model change in their health promotion and preventive behaviors of breast cancer seems necessary
