An Algorithm for Dealing with Speech-Language Impairment

Speech-language disorder is the most common type of developmental disorders in children. The prevalence varies depending on the age of the assessment. Twenty percent of 2-year-old children have speech delay, while 6% of 5-year-old children have speech impairment. Due to failures in the identification, diagnosis, and management of children suffering from speech or language impairment, we gathered a team consisting of pediatric neurologist, psychologist, speech therapist , and reviewed a series of literature, and finally prepared this algorithm for patients with speech impairment
