چکیده مقاله:

Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) is an application where solar Photovoltaic panels are integrated into the building structures to produce electrical energy. In this paper, a passive design of residential complex with environmental sustainability approach has been proposed. The research is to study the potential of BIPV application on the roof top and facades of the residential complex in Tehran. The studied area in this research is located in the north west of Tehran near to the Chitgar artificial Lake, and target area for this research is 2500 m2. This building has been designed in 17 floors mainly for residential purpose Important parameters were measured and analysed to determine which roof form, orientations and PV types that influence the power generations. The average daily power generations was recorded depending on the number of modules, PV type, slope inclination and location. It is estimated that by choosing the building in correct way of sunlight and using the natural daylight, energy consumption will be reduced. By installing about 2000 m2 solar photovoltaics in roofs and facades and simulating with PVsyst simulation software it is estimated to produce about 568 MWh electricity annually.
