چکیده مقاله:

Background: Breast cancer is the leading cause of death cause by cancer in women. Investigating quality of life is considered important, as the large number of breast cancer survivors. This review was aimed to investigate the quality of life for breast cancer survivors and its improvement.Methods and Materials: The present article reviewed original studies through Google Scholar PubMed, Medline and Science Direct by searching breast cancer, quality of life, physical activity, diet as key words.Results: Several studies showed that regular exercise (an average of 3-5 hours per week) through lowering levels of progesterone and estradiol may play an important role in reducing mortality and improving quality of life. However, high-fat diets have been specified as an important factor in reducing survival in premenopausal and postmenopausal women. Experimental evidences have been indicated that high intake of dietary fat May induce tumor and breast cancer relapse through altering in circulating levels of hormones, cell membrane structure and function, prostaglandin and cytokine levels and patterns of gene expression. Studies of poly-unsaturated fatty acids (especially Linoleic acid) are marked them as factors that increase breast cancer progression, while protective effect has attributed to omega-3 (especially omega-3s found in fish) Results of some studies have shown that cigarette nicotine has Immunosuppressive effects through inhibition of innate and adaptive immune responses that contribute to increased mortality due to breast cancer..Conclusion: The literature review Indicates the necessity of adopting a multidisciplinary approach to improving quality of life of breast cancer survivals. Controlling diet by reducing fat intake, increasing physical activity and avoid smoking are methods cloud be considered to improve the quality of life and Increased survival. Although some studies have reported different results than what is mentioned in this article.
