چکیده مقاله:

Milk is an important component of a balanced diet and contains many valuable constituents. A considerable part of the milk health benefits is related to its proteins, not only for their nutritive value but also for their biological properties. Scientific evidence suggests that anticarcinogenic activities, antihypertensive properties, immune system modulation, and antimicrobial and antiviral actions as well as other metabolic features of milk, are affiliated with milk proteins (both the intact proteins and their derivatives). Several lines of research have recently focused on anti-carcinogenic properties of milk proteins. Some studies suggest that milk proteins possesses anti -proliferative, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant features and mihgt protect the human body against some cancers (colon, breast, and prostate gland) probably through their ability to enhance cellular levels of glutathione as well as to promote hormonal and cell-mediated immune responses. In this article, anti-cancer activities of milk proteins and its mechanisms are reviewed.
