New breast imaging modality

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women .about 5-10%diagnosed breast cancer cases present with locally advanced disease . locally advanced breast cancer is characterized by a primary tumor larger than 5cm , skin or chest wall involvement and /or presence of fixed axillary lymph node metastases . In the last few years new imaging modality or developed previous modality have been use for the management of breast disease , but there is still some debate concerning the optimal dose to evaluate breast lesion especially diagnostic tool. Multimodality mammography , 2Dconventional mammography , dynamic contrast 3D magnetic resonance imaging, X-ray phase contrast imaging ,3D contrast enhanced ultrasound ,ultrasound elastography ,high magnetic field MRI ,intra operative angiography , positron emission tomography /computed tomography ,3D method for breast ultrasound ,digital breast tomosynthesis , magnetic resonance spectroscopy ,diffusion MRI ,dual energy contrast – enhanced digital mammography .
